I often tell myself little lies. Like the Chinese takeaway will be fine because I am going to have a fruit smoothie for dinner for the rest of the week. Who am I kidding?
But at this time of year I feel like everything that comes out of my mouth is a lie.
In honour of the little white lies we will be spinning over the festive period, here’s my parody of the Fleetwood Mac classic ‘Little Lies‘…

I really hated the lies about Santa and dreaded the day i was going to get confronted by the “You lied to me for years Mum!” Luckily by the time they get to hear the truth from their classmates and working it out for themselves, they are too embarrassed to admit they sucked it all up in the first place. Oh this is GENIUS! We have to tell those little lies, it’s what keeps me sane from the summer onwards. I do wonder if it is wrong to threaten my children with the fact that the big FC won’t be visiting if they don’t behave, but then it works so I ain’t going to stop! 🙂 #FridayFrolics
