Breast or bottle? Lets end this farcical debate, that shouldn’t even be a debate now.
We can’t seem to win with this one. Mums who choose to breastfeed are shunned for doing so in public as if it’s something that should be locked away behind closed doors. Mums who chose to bottle feed are made to feel guilty that they are not doing what is ‘natural’ or ‘best’.
New mum’s don’t need any more pressure
In a few very short years your child, and everyone else will not care whether you shoved a boob or a bottle in their face.
Mum’s are just trying to do their best, whatever their method of feeding, and whatever choice or circumstance led them to this method. Things don’t always go to plan, and babies need feeding wherever and whenever they demand so. Us mums have got to roll with it. Whether that’s having to give a bottle because we are finding breast feeding really hard, or breast feeding our baby in a public place because they are hungry.
Stop judging.
Stop telling others how it should be done. Don’t pile on the guilt and the pressure. Because guess what? We know what we are doing. We are capable of making decisions. Yes, we are actual grown-ups. And we love our precious babies more than anything in the world.
Breast or bottle, it all comes down to this…
Let us feed our babies how we choose, where we choose, and when they require it, without judgement.
Share this with a new mum who may be doubting herself, who maybe worried about breastfeeding in public, or feeling guilty because she has made the choice to bottle feed.
Whatever your choice mama, I’ve got your back.

Love this!
Thanks for this!!! So brilliant and true!
I resisted the urge to rant!
This is BRILLIANT! People can be so judgmental and it really should come down to – are you happy? Is your baby happy? Thanks for this. Definitely sharing #wineandboobs
Thanks. Really appreciate that 🙂
Yes to this!
Sorry hit enter early, novice blogger! So important that a baby is fed.. so lets all just agree on that!
Exactly 🙂

I only wish I still had my brain mind. That’s the part of the sum that doesn’t apply to me. My baby broke it!

So so true. Love this diagram.
I was already for a rant when I did this. Sometimes fewer words and stickmen are better 😉
This is so true. I wish people would realize it doesn’t matter csection or breastfeeding, bottle or natural births we all are aiming for happy and healthy babies. Why do we judge so harshly? Thanks for linking up to Share With Me #sharewithme
Trouble is we are all guilty of judging ourselves too harshly too!
Fabulous! As someone who bottle fed from choice, I am fed up of being made to feel like I have failed my child. Thanks for this xx
You are most welcome 🙂
Being a mother/parent is hard as it is and being judged for the choices that you are making makes things harder. So I agree with this post, live and let live =) #pocolo
Mum knows Best 🙂
Well said! I wish someone- anyone- had said that to me when breastfeeding was making my daughter and I miserable.
I just wrote a post getting at the same thing, but not quite succinctly!

It’s not like me to keep it so short and sweet!
Preach! Parenting is hard enough without people making you feel bad about choices that you may not have any control over!
Exactly. We put enough pressure on ourselves.
Yes. Very, very well said! Down with the feeding fascists!
Thanks hun x
oh wonderful! thank you thank you thank you! #brilliantblogposts
Glad you liked : )
Perfect! I particularly likes ‘because you are a grown up’. Felt like that was forgotten sometimes!
They should know by now that all new mums consult friends/facebook/google/books before making any decision 😉
