We welcomed our little bundle of fur home 3 months ago. She was 8 weeks old when we picked her up. There is a whole world of puppy paraphernalia out there, and it can be daunting to know what you need, and what you don’t. This is my guide to must have items for a puppy based on our experience so far and puppy training classes. This is what you need on your new puppy shopping list.
The Basic Must Have Items For A Puppy
Just because it’s the basic stuff doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. There are some amazing small business making beautiful harnesses and leads, and you can get personalised dog bowls and all sorts.
Dog treats and food has also advanced hugely in recent years. It’s a great idea to use their dry food as treats around the home, but use something nice and smelly for when you are out an about where there are lots of distractions. Be careful with treats as a lot of them are weight and age dependent, so always check the packet.
Remember is is a legal requirement for your dog to have an ID tag.

Fun Must Have Items For A Puppy
I think I could easily spend as much on our Pup this Christmas as I do my kids! There is so much out there. A variety of toys is really important as they do different things. Chew toys to discourage the nipping. Tug toys and balls to burn some enregy. And enrichment toys that engage the dos thinking, such as finding the treats.
