What I’ve bought this month that’s more exciting than milk, bread and Star Wars Force Attax cards.

Caroline Gardner Note Books
I loved these cute little notebooks. They are pocket sized and perfect for lists and ideas.
John Lewis £4.95

Glass Jar
An impulse purchase, but too pretty to resist at such a bargain price.
Wilko £3.00

Greetings Cards
These brilliant cards come from one half of one of my favourite blogs Mama Zen. Lydia writes hilarious anecdotes of her life with two young children, and her sister Ellie provides the illustrations. Ellie has turned her fantastic drawings into a range of greeting cards. I love mine so much I am going to frame them.
Etsy £2.50 each

Picture Frames
These cute little picture frames are going to be placed on our bedside tables once we have finished decorating out bedroom. (As long as said decorating doesn’t end in a divorce). They are perfect for my two little monkeys.
Ikea £1.49 each

Malteaster Bunny
You can keep your Mini Eggs and Cream Eggs. These little guys are by far my favourite Easter treat. My only complaint is that you can’t get a king size Malteaster Bunny. Available in most shops at 2 for £1. The other one may have ummm, errr, hopped off before the photo was taken!

Check out my parody of ‘All I ask’ by Adele. It’s all about chocolate.
What have you bought to brighten up your day without breaking the bank?

I’ve shared this post on some of these fab linkys…

Those photo frames are lovely and love the notebooks. Think they may have to be added to my stationery stash!!
I love a Malteaster bunny too, I actually bought a bus of them for an Easter gift for someone and ended up eating them all myself, oops!
Love the notebooks, so cute. xx #fiveunder5
Rookie mistake. Never buy them for anyone else! 😉
I am such a stationery fiend so those notebooks caught my eye straight away! Love them! x
They are very cute.
Those notebooks! Those cards! Love, love, LOVE! x
Hi Claire, what a fab selection and I’m with you on the Malteser bunny front… though 2 is never enough! We don’t have Wilko here in NI but I love the little votive you picked up. Even when it’s summer and we’re no longer lighting candles inside, this will look great out hanging on the patio, won’t it? Altho maybe with an LED tealight in case of bush fire risk… 😛
I’ve never seen the Mama Zen cards before so thanks for the tip! They are so good, especially the yoga one, that is me right now! Love those notebooks too, and I am a total chocoholic! Thanks so much for joining in with #fiveunder5 x
Im a sucker for stationary and those picture frames are too cute!! bargain! #fiveunder5
Thanks so much Claire. We are so happy to have Mama Zen Cards featured! Ellie is working on some new ones at the moment (there has been lots of material during the holidays!) xx
I love them. Looking forward to seeing the new ones 🙂
Malteaser Bunnies are hard to resist! Loving those cute notebooks – great size to pop in your handbag.
I love those photo frames, so sweet, will be on the lookout for them next time I go to Ikea. I may have indulged in some Malteaser bunnies too, Sainsburys were selling them off for 30p so it would have been rude not too!
