Breast or bottle?  Lets end this farcical debate, that shouldn’t even be a debate now.

We can’t seem to win with this one.  Mums who choose to breastfeed are shunned for doing so in public as if it’s something that should be locked away behind closed doors.  Mums who chose to bottle feed are made to feel guilty that they are not doing what is ‘natural’ or ‘best’.

New mum’s don’t need any more pressure

In a few very short years your child, and everyone else will not care whether you shoved a boob or a bottle in their face.

Mum’s are just trying to do their best, whatever their method of feeding, and whatever choice or circumstance led them to this method.  Things don’t always go to plan, and babies need feeding wherever and whenever they demand so.  Us mums have got to roll with it. Whether that’s having to give a bottle because we are finding breast feeding really hard, or breast feeding our baby in a public place because they are hungry.

Stop judging.

Stop telling others how it should be done.  Don’t pile on the guilt and the pressure. Because guess what?  We know what we are doing.  We are capable of making decisions.  Yes, we are actual grown-ups.  And we love our precious babies more than anything in the world.

Breast or bottle, it all comes down to this…

Breast or Bottle?

Let us feed our babies how we choose, where we choose, and when they require it, without judgement.

Share this with a new mum who may be doubting herself, who maybe worried about breastfeeding in public, or feeling guilty because she has made the choice to bottle feed.

Whatever your choice mama, I’ve got your back.

  2. This is so true. I wish people would realize it doesn’t matter csection or breastfeeding, bottle or natural births we all are aiming for happy and healthy babies. Why do we judge so harshly? Thanks for linking up to Share With Me #sharewithme
