I don’t know about you, but when the days get shorter and the weather gets colder, I go into hibernation mode. I find it much harder to motivate myself for all the life admin. And getting out of a warm cozy bed earlier than I have to to be productive is sooooo hard!
Very have a great range of technology items that can help improve motivation and productivity at home. Check out some of their items we have chosen to highlight to see how they can assist you when working from home, organising your life, and getting some much needed self care.
Home Organisation
I don’t know where all the life admin and all the ‘stuff’ comes from? Nut it can feel never ending. And if you don’t stay on top of it you find yourself sending your kid to school on an inset day, or scrambling for a last minute Inn Keeper costume. Very have some useful tech to help you stay organised.
Label Maker
I know it’s sad, but I am not ashamed to admit that one of my most favourite possessions is my label maker. Seriously, if you stand still too long in my house, there’s a good chance I will label you! Last year I spent a whole day labelling the boxes of Christmas decorations as I packed them away, knowing that future me would be very thankful come Christmas 2024.
The Brother Label Maker has so many uses. You can print text, images, and frames. And you can print a continuous length up to one metre, great for banners and other projects. It’s also compact so easy to store when you are not organising everything within an inch of it’s life. It is compatible with Windows and Mac.
Smart Tag
I am learning that my teen has not inherited my organised gene. He’s of the age where plans are very much spontaneous, and not much thought is given to whether his phone is charged before he heads out the door. This is where smart tags give us peace of mind as parents. If we can’t get hold of him, we can see where he is.
Smart Speaker
I honestly hated these things when my husband first came home with one. But now we have them in every room of the house and I use them all the time. Announcing to the kids that dinner is ready, streaming music, and helping me keep organised with calendars and shopping lists. Smart speakers have definitely made us a more organised household.
Home Office
With working from home now being far more common and accessible for people, it’s vital that we have the right tech for our home offices. These are just a few work place items to help improve productivity in the home.
Chrome Book
I’ve been running my own business and working from home for 10 years now. The best tool I have for productivity and organisation is my Chrome Book. I don’t know why people need laptops when Chrome Books are so versatile and fast. They have great safety features and battery life.
Smart Watch
We all know that smart watches have many applications. I find them really useful for my work productivity. I often time block my work day, and this watch is great for setting alarms. I also like the sedentary alarm as I can easily get absorbed in work and forget to move. It also has a great breathing exercise which is great for calming anxiety, especially useful if you are out and about. And as an added bonus this model is waterproof. I tested it out today with an aqua class and it worked brilliantly.
I’ve got my son a smart watch for Christmas too. The strap is really soft, and it’s really easy to set up with the app. Lots of personalisation too which teens love.
Wireless Keyboard
One of the really important things to consider when working from home is your set up. To avoid bad backs and other muscular skeletal problems ensure that you use ergonomic items such as wireless keyboards.
Self Care
Self care often gets moved to the bottom of the list in our busy lives. But we should prioritise it, and we can use technology to get the most from our self care.
E Reader
Getting lost in a great book is perfect self care. Switching off from everything else and taking the time to slow down. An E-reader is an ideal item for book lovers and avid readers.
Headphones
I love a podcast. For me the ultimate self care is listening to an inspirational podcast whilst having a soak in the bath or painting my nails. These wireless headphones ensure no one else is bothered by my listening and I find them so much more comfortable than ear buds.
Tablet
I hate feeling glued to my phone, so I love using my tablet for apps that help me with self care, such as meditations and guided breathing, or puzzle games when I need to calm my brain. This Samsung Galaxy tablet has an 11 inch screen and Dolby surround sound. It’s quick, responsive, intuitive and fantastically easy to use. It’s also great for watching Gilmore Girls for the 17,000 time whilst I’m doing the washing up!

Conclusion
Whether it’s working from home, organising your home, or getting some self care time, these gadgets are great for motivating you and increasing your productivity. They also make great gifts for Christmas if you are in need of inspiration.
