As a nation of animal lovers you can’t go wrong with an animal themed gift this Christmas. We’ve put together a few ideas to inspire you, whether your budget is big or small. These gifts for animal lovers of all ages will put a huge smile on their faces.

Great for when a loved one has a favourite animal. I’ve bought Little a cuddly toy capybara this year, as apparently it’s his new favourite. And yes I did have to google what one was! They are also a great gift alternative to the real thing. My friend’s daughter asked Father Christmas for a dog one year, or more specifically a husky. When the real thing isn’t an option a cuddly toy is an achievable alternative!
Framed Print
A piece of artwork is a great gift and can suit all budgets and tastes. From simple prints to hand painted pictures. Classic pictures, or funny pictures, black and white or vivid colours. There are numerous options to make this a great gift option.
Adoption
Many places including the WWF offer animal adoption packages. Recipients normally receive a welcome gift and a photograph of their chosen animal, with information about that creature. They receive regular updates throughout the year. Often the money used to buy this gift is used for conservation of the species and animal welfare. There are a huge range of animals you can adopt, from penguins and turtles, to elephants and wolves.
Animal experience
Animal experiences in the UK are a really special gift that will make memories to last a lifetime. The experience allows the recipient to get up close to the animals, often feeding them, and often with an expert who tells them about the animal. There are lots available with different animals. I bought one a few years ago for my Son who was then 11. He loved it. I would love to do the giraffe one one day.
Day Trip
It can be really hard to know what to buy for people. As a family we love to give and receive experiences that allow people to make memories. It also gives them something to do later in the year. Vouchers for a day out to a local zoo, farm, or wildlife park make great family gifts for animal lovers.
