A bit of light humour this week. Most diets involve going to some kind of group meeting, aka ‘Fat Club.’ The first time you attend can be pretty daunting. These are some of the thoughts of a Fat Club first timer.
Sat in the car, composing myself and getting the nerve to go in…
I can do this. I can do this.
Is this is the right place.
Please don’t let me be the fattest one in the room.
What if they tell everyone my weight?
I hope the group leader is nice.
And not too skinny.
Oh God! What if there is someone there that I know?
What if it’s someone from school that I haven’t spoken too for ages and has only seen my skinny photos on facebook. Awkward.
I’ve never weighed myself with clothes on before. I bet I’m 5 pounds heavier with clothes on.
OK there’s people going in. Pull yourself together.
What’s she doing here? I’d kill for her figure.
Maybe I should get a take-out tonight? One last meal before the diet starts tomorrow.
In all seriousness, the groups I have been to have been lovely, and ultimately everyone is there for the same reason, so it’s a great place for support and understanding. The first one is always the hardest.

What is LighterLife Fast?
LighterLife Fast is based on the 5:2 diet concept. You eat healthily for 5 days and then fast for 2 days on restricted calories. On the fast days you eat 4 of the LighterLife Fast food packs. These food packs give you 100% of your daily nutrition.
It’s been quite a run of the mill week really. The little one is better but still very clingy. I’ve stuck to the plan and it just feels normal now.
What I love is the flexibility. I can change my fast days to suit what’s going on in my life. And actually what works really well is fasting on those manically busy days. Firstly because you don’t have time to thinks about food much, and secondly the bars and ready made shakes are grab and go.
In the past a busy day has meant best intentions go out the window as I’m too tired or don’t have time to cook. I would end up eating something unhealthy instead. But with this plan busy days are the easiest to manage as fasting days.
Week Nine Weight Loss:
Total Weight Loss = 13 Pounds
