I don’t write many reviews on this site, so when I do it’s because it something I genuinely want to shout from the roof tops about something because it’s a game changer. And today I want to tell you about the game changer that is Little Bird and how they can help you save money on family days out.

I occasionally get social media envy. It can sometimes feel like everyone is off on family adventures and enjoying days out and I’m sat there wondering how they can afford it all. Especially during the holidays when the cost of keeping the kids entertained adds up.
I know going to the park, or heading to the forest with a picnic is relatively low cost. My kids always manage to con me into buying ice creams wherever we go. Whatever the weather! But sometimes you want to do something different.
These days a family day out to a theme park, or to the theatre, normally means spending a minimum of £100. When you add the food and the ice creams and something from the gift shop, you can easily be looking at double that.
When Little Bird contacted me and offered me a years family membership in exchange for a review of there site, I will be honest and say I had never heard of them. But within two minutes of looking at their website I was genuinely excited and felt like this should be one of those services they tell you about in the delivery room.

What is Little Bird?
Little Bird is a membership service. You pay an annual fee of £34.99 (which works out at around £2.92 a month) and you get exclusive discounts that could save your family up to £550 a year.
Save money on family days out with:
- Up to 40% off nationwide cinema tickets
- Up to 50% off popular theme parks and attractions
- Kids eat free vouchers
- Up to 50% off family days out
- Discounted theatre tickets
- Discounted products
Some of the discounts are all year round, some are for specific events or times. You can search by price, age, location, or attraction. And you can add all the deals you like to your favourites so they are there when you want them.
It’s a digital membership so you don’t need to worry about remembering your membership card. Simply log on and all the deals are there for you to use.
The annual membership fee is a set price for all families, so you don’t have to pay more if you need a mini van to get your brood around.
What days out are available?
You can get money off trampoline parks, Monster Truck events, Go Ape, Flamingo Land, Kidzania London, and so much more.
Because this is a membership deal, I’m not allowed to tell you the exclusive offers, because they are for members only. I feel like I’m holding onto a really big secret, because there are some really fantastic deals. Just spending five minutes on the site I filled up my favourites very quickly.

Can you really save money?
I have looked in detail at four family days out and compared the deals offered to buying direct and other deals online, to see if the Little Bird membership really does save money on family days out. One deal I could have got cheaper by buying a family ticket direct. However the other three, which are really really great family days out, give me a saving of £140 by being a family pass member.
Taking off the membership fee, I’ve still saved over £100. I genuinely think this is worth doing. You absolutely can save money on family days out.
It’s a gem of a website that families can really benefit from.

There’s more…
Little Bird donate £2 of every family membership pass sold to Great Ormand Street Hospital Charity.
If you are still not sure you can trial the membership for 30 days for just £1.
Check out Little Bird for yourself, and then tell all of your friends how they can save money on family days out because you won’t be able to keep it a secret!
