This months Blog Love is delightfully different. It’s dedicated to Hillie from Turning Up In Devon. Except it’s not really Hillie, it’s Jane. Allow me to explain.
Turning up In Devon is a fictional blog about Hillie, her husband Ted and her two children Toby and Lottie. The family uprooted from London and moved to Devon 5 years ago. The blog is written and illustrated by Jane Hirst.
First off, Jane is a brilliant story teller. It is entirely feasible to read her blog and think it is real. The characters and stories are all so believable and relatable. It’s written with humour, warmth and sarcasm. A brilliant combination.
When I read a post on Turning Up In Devon it’s like no other blog out there. I genuinely feel like I’m sitting down to get my nose into a good book, and Jane always, always leaves me wanting more. In a good way!
Delve in, and I dare you not to get hooked on the brilliant characters and the events in their life. Turning Up in Devon is in my opinion a truly unique blog that I love to read. It goes really well with a cuppa.
