I thought I would do a Valentines special for five under £5 as I picked up some cute little bits.  And I only went to two shops!

I’m not one for going over the top on valentines, I enjoy a romantic meal at home with a few special touches.  These napkins from Poundland are the perfect accompaniment to any table setting.  They also had them in plain red, but I love the gingham ones.

Also from Poundland were the heart lights, I can never resist fairy lights!  I also picked up the heart ramekin dishes.  They would look lovely filled with chocolate hearts or love heart candy.  And a bargain, all three for £1.

The ‘Love’ trinket box was £1.99 from The Card Factory.  I thought this would make a really nice box to put a little gift it, be it chocolates or jewellery.

And finally the little sign was again from The Card Factory and cost £1.49.  It’s not hugely valentine’s inspired but makes a cute little gift for someone you love.

My little valentine shopping spree came in at a bargain £6.48.  I’m not sure the husband will be that thrilled with any of it, but the way to his heart is definitely through his stomach!

Have you picked up any valentines bargains?

  1. I love those heart ramekins, what a bargain!! I was in there a few days ago and nearly picked up the napkins but I think I’ll have to go back to look for the ramekins – you could make little creme brulees in them 🙂 Lovely picks!

  2. What a lovely inspired Valentine’s Five under 5 post. Typical as I went into Poundland yesterday and bypassed the Valentine’s section. How gorgeous are those lights, and how an earth are they just £1. And love the napkins, infact I love everything you have chosen #fiveunder5 x

  3. I love a fairy light and any excuse to buy some is fine by me! Thanks for the Valentine inspiration! X

  4. Oh I’m a sucker for love hearts – Valentine’s Day or not! I love the heart ramekins you could make little soufflés for your Valentine’s meal? Or even better, chocolate fondant love hearts! Great picks x
