I can’t quite believe it’s October. In a few weeks I am going to be the mother of a 7 year old! Not to mention the clocks going back. Although I am looking forward to some festive five under £5’s. Until then, here’s what I’ve picked up this month…

It’s quite a varied collection this month. The book was a wonderful milestone for us. The big one is doing really well with his reading at school. For the last year we have been reading more grown up stories at night, such as Charlie & The Chocolate Factory and Harry Potter. A friend gave him one of the Pamela Butchart books, and he read the entire thing by himself. 20 chapters! He was hooked and didn’t put it down for about 24 hours. He was so proud of himself when he had finished, as was I. I’ve since purchased a couple more books by the same author, as he found them hilarious. They are readily available on Amazon and most are around the £3.80 mark. I think I have a little bookworm in the making.
The post it notes were from Paperchase and cost £2.45. I often use notes like these on my pin boards on my desk for invoices outstanding or posts I am working on. Why have boring post it’s hen you can have these!
The bottle stop and bottle opener were £1 each from Wilko. I picked up these as little gifts to top up people Christmas presents.
And finally, my favourite find. these gorgeous Cath Kidston style fairly lights were a steal from B&M Stores at £3.49. Perfect for next summer.
What bargains have you picked up this month?
