I love shopping for knick-knacks and things for the home, Since I started joining in with the five under £5 feature I’ve found so many great things that don’t break the bank. In fact If I see something I like that costs more then £5, I try to seek a cheaper alternative. My husband will be pleased!

So here are this months finds…
The ‘Daydreams & Ice Creams’ purse was a little impulse purchase from New Look for £3.99. I think I will be using it to put my business cards in at #BML16.
I love mason jar drinking tumblers, but up until this month didn’t own any. I couldn’t resit these ones because they are plastic so great for the garden. They were £4 each from Matalan. I bought two, along with this fantastic drink dispenser for £6.
I like to have a little spritz of something in the middle of the day to freshen up. Especially during the summer. I think I’ve had various bottles of Impulse on my dressing table since I was 13 years old! What’s not to love for 95p though.
The Cotton Blossom candle was another find from Matalan. They come in a range of colours and scents at £3 each.
There is not much in life that makes me happier than a new handbag. Although my penchant for bags has now extended into the reusable shopping bag kind. I have so many. I have now started to buy hessian bags like the one above instead of gift bags for friends birthday presents. In many cases they are cheaper than a gift bag, and the recipient gets an extra gift! This one was £1 from Poundland and was also available in pink.
What bargains have you picked up this month?
Five Under £5 was started by Julie at Rainbeaubelle. You can read all about it and get inspired by lots of other posts on her website.

I love the tumblers and drinks dispenser, so cute! That bag is fab for the price too x
I love the candle from matalan, what a bargain and I’ll be looking out for those, so pretty in the tin. That is a great idea to use a reusable bag for a gift bag, I will be doing that more often now! xx #fiveunder5
I love the idea of using hessian bags to put birthday presents or gifts in rather than gift bags. A gift within a gift!
That’s funny that it’s made you more thrifty! I’m not sure it has with me as I probably buy more little things than before! Love that little purse x
Love the purse and that water bottle/cup is uber cute. Awww impulse takes me back to my yoof! X #fiveunder5

Thanks Nicole. It still feels a strange departure from my normal stuff, but it’s lots of fun to do.
