I love Christmas, but one of my bug bears is gift guides for stocking fillers. Why? Because most of them feature gifts that are;
a) Too big to fit in a stocking
b) Cost a small fortune
In my mind stocking fillers have always been small gifts, that each cost less than £5. So perfect for a five under £5. (There’s more than five this month but it’s Christmas!)
This is my stocking fillers gift guide for her…
A perfect stocking for me would be full of little bits that I love, treats and practical things.
I might be cheating a bit with the cracker. They were £6.00 for a pack of three, but I have split them as little top up presents for people so that works out at £2.00 each. They contain make-up and were from Matalan.
A girl can never have too many nail varnishes and my favourite brand by far is Rimmel. I always get compliments on the colours and it lasts longer than any other brand I’ve tried. I got this one in Superdrug for £2.99.
A bit of bling and sparkles as it’s Christmas.This set of 6 pairs of earrings were £4.99 in New Look.
Just because I love stationery, this set of magnets from Paperchase cost £3.00
What’s a stocking without chocolate treats. The tiddly pots from Hotel Chocolat are my favourites and cost £2.00
Another find in Flying Tiger were these cute and bright heart pebbles at £1.00 each.
Although divine, Yankee Candles can be so expensive. This is a perfect little treat at £1.85. I picked this one up from a local gift shop.
The tealight holders were 2 for £1.00 also from Flying Tiger.
What would you like to find in your stocking?

I totally agree, in my mind stocking filler should be around £5 – you see so many that are way too expensive. I love the little crackers, I always look out for sets of things that I can split up, usually for teacher presents as we have so many in Lucas’ class. A friend introduced me to the Hotel Chocolat tiddley pots last month and they’re amazing, I’d be so happy with any of these for stocking fillers! #fiveunder5
