I love a bargain. I picked up a new handbag in the sales and The Husband told me to stop telling everyone how much it cost. But it was reduced from £45 to £12. That’s a bargain!!! You have to tell people about a bargain!
I picked up quite a few bits in the January sales this year, which is why this month five under £5 is all about bargain buys. Although there are more than five!
The first bargain was this selection of jewellery. What girl doesn’t love jewellery. The earrings were £3 from Debenhams. They are quite over the top, but I couldn’t resist them for a night out, especially as they were reduced to £3. The Necklace was from Next. I ordered it in their online sale for £4 and I am so pleased with it. It looks really pretty on, and instantly became one of my favourite necklaces. The bracelet was from Not on the High Street and was reduced to £4, including an engraving of your choice. I love the colours and it is really light to wear.
Another bargain I picked up from Not on the High Street was this VIP cushion cover for £5. It sits on my desk chair and forms part of the cushion obsession I am currently developing. The Husband is not pleased.
I popped into my local New Look as it is a two minute walk from my house and I needed some new boots for the school run, my current pair had a hole and my feet were getting wet! Not only did I pick up some great boots (sadly over £5) I got these great bargains too.
The gloves were £1.50. They are more like wrist warmers. I have a pair from Turtle Doves that I wear sometimes when I am working at my desk and I love them. I got these ones for the school run as it’s just easier with the kids to have my fingers free!
The hair band was 50p and I’ve already worn it lots. The daisy fairy lights were £2. You can never have too many fairy lights, right? And finally I picked up this Summer hat for the bargain price of £2. bring on the sunshine!
As well as fairly lights and cushion covers, I’m also notorious for buying photo frames. I’m beginning to need more walls! This one was reduced to £5 in Debenhams and I love it. I love frames that are multi aperture.
Another bargain from the Next online sale was this peg board that I picked up for £4. I have no idea what I am going to use it for, but any self respecting blogger appears to need a light box and a peg board with popular quotes!
My last bargain were these Spectrum make up brushes. Last year I subscribed to Birchbox monthly beauty boxes and one month I received a Spectrum make up brush. It put all my other make up brushes to shame and I am now a convert. I ordered these brushes in the sale online and they were each under £5.
So that’s my five under £5 bargain buys. A lot more than five, and that was just the stuff I picked up for me! Did you grab a good bargain in the sales this year?
The background for these photographs was a beautiful backdrop from Capture by Lucy.
