If you follow me on facebook or subscribe to my newsletter then you are totally over this news by now. Sorry. But just in case you didn’t hear, I am in the final for the Readers Choice in the BritMums Brilliance in Blogging Awards.
I am thrilled and honoured and up against some amazing bloggers! I’m not going to campaign for your vote. Vote for whomever you want, (Unless you are my family, in which case I’m sure there’s some kind of legal obligation to vote for me) but if you do want to vote for me, click the button below. Scroll down to Readers Choice and select Life, Love and Dirty Dishes.
Your vote would of course make me very happy and means a lot to me. I get so much from this blog. I love the comments from people telling me that a post has cheered them up, or made them feel less alone. The comments that show we are all in this parenting game together, just trying to do our best.
But more than that you have all given me so much. This year I wrote about my struggle with self confidence and the way I look, and I wrote about our son’s speech delay and how I was finding it difficult to cope. The support I received from those posts was incredible.
An award for this blog would be the icing on the cake.
A final note from me, is to say congratulations to all of the finalists. I would like to say a personal well done to my good friend Prabs (Absolutely Prabulous), and winner of last years Best Writer award (I told you the competition was tough!) I would also like to say a huge congratulations to Laura from Five Little Doves, one of my favourite blogs. Laura writes the most beautiful posts using her own personal experience to raise awareness for SANDS. And I have no doubt that her work has helped so many people through the hardest of times.
Thank-you to all those who nominated me to get this far.
P.S If you don’t already follow me on facebook or subscribe to my newsletter, get on it!
