1 In a film about your life who would you want to play you and why?
I’d make a kind of hybrid between Julia Roberts (loved her since Mystic Pizza), Jennifer Lopez (my girl crush) and Melissa McCarthy (She’s hilarious and she would totally get me).
2 What led you to start a blog, and how did you choose its name?
I sort of stumbled into by accident without a clue what I was doing. But it became my voice and helped me rediscover who I was after loosing myself to motherhood. I don’t remember how I came up with the name. Probably because the little one was a newborn and I was really really sleep deprived! Also explains why some of my first posts are really really bad!
3 When & where do you write your blog posts?
I have a new work space in our bedroom and I blog when the little one naps and in the evenings.
4 What’s your worst habit?
Probably sucking my thumb* but my husband might say differently.
*hangs 36 year old head in shame
5 Marmite. Love it or hate it?
HATE! HATE! HATE! My husband hates it too.
When the big one was about 10 months old we were on holiday and they had a kids tea party. I picked up Marmite sandwiches and thought seeing as I never buy the stuff I’ll let my son try them to see if he likes it. Much to my husband and I’s disgust, he loved them. he could not get them down fast enough and stretched his little mits out demanding MORE! MORE! It was only when I went to get him seconds I discovered it was not Marmite, but in fact chocolate spread. That’s my boy!
6 What’s your earliest childhood memory?
Dancing round the living room, by that I mean spinning round as fast as humanly possible, to Mum and Dad’s records. Think it might have been Cliff Richard :/ My mum’s music taste has improved with age and offspring influence!
7 Favorite film?
I couldn’t possibly choose. I love all kinds of movies. Once that make me laugh, make me cry, or scare the crap out of me. I don’t like car chases as they bore me. And I think Keira Knightly is completely overrated. Sorry Keira.
8 If you could time travel, who would you go back in time to meet and what would you ask them?
Henry Viii. I have a weird geeky obsession with the Tudor times. I’d have made a good wench! I’m not sure what I would ask Henry himself. Given his reputation, probably “can I have your babies?”
9 Do you have any phobias?
Snakes and mushrooms. I don’t want to talk about it, okay.
10 And finally, what’s your favourite cocktail?
One with alcohol in it.
Mess Stress and Fancy Dress
Life With Baby Kicks
Motherhood: The Real Deal
And Then The Fun Began
You Baby Me Mummy
Girl In the Applewood
