Much like Christmas this post is very self indulgent and I fear I may prattle on like I’ve won an Oscar or something but please bear with…
It’s been quite a year for Life, Love and Dirty Dishes. I’ve been thrilled to have my posts featured by Mumsnet, Netmums, Scary Mommy and Huffpost. I was completely overwhelmed when one of my pieces on Huffpost was liked and shared over 100k times. I was even featured in the Mail and the Mirror online!
I have changed to a self hosted site and have even written some actual code! I launched my own linky, a guest post series, and have become the LOL Round-up editor for BritMums. I have worked with some fantastic brands and brilliant bloggers.
Writing is my dream job, and I am so happy with how my little space on the internet has grown. This note is really to say a big thank-you to all of you who have liked, shared and commented on my posts. Because as corny as it sounds, it’s all of those likes and shares that are making my dream a reality.
Thanks to all of the amazing bloggers I have (virtually) met. In particular I would like to thank Vicki from Honest Mum and Vic from Verily Victoria Vocalises for their linky advice. Yvette from Big Trouble In Little Nappies for stopping me from pulling my hair out when I went self hosted. Aby from You baby Me Mummy for being a blogging and wordpress guru and so generous with her time and advice. To everyone who has taken part in my Rookie Mistakes guest blogging series and the Friday Frolics linky. And to Prabs from Absolutely Prabulous and Helen from Mess Stress and Fancy Dress, two awesomely talented ladies who always big me up and make me feel special. I blogging love you. x
And finally a big thanks to my Mr K. He has been my biggest supporter from day one. He sang my praises when I didn’t have the confidence to do so, he puts the kids to bed so I can work, and when he reads my posts he laughs in all the right places. Thank-you for believing in me. x
That’s the Oscar speech over with.
I’m taking a little break over Christmas to over indulge in chocolate, wine and Christmas movies. And of course, to spend time with my two cheeky monkeys who provide much of the inspiration for this blog.
I will be sharing my most read posts over on my facebook page over the festive period, so pop by and say hi.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
